Apart from the VW hippie wagon the Mahindra Xylo is the closest we get to a live-in caravan. That the Xylo is comfortable to live in is an understatement and the OD crew at their Garage can vouch for this (Sept. ’09). They spent a full 10 days living in the car for a south-north record drive, packed with a mountain bike, spares, two spare wheels and luggage for three male adults. Despite all that, there was space in the middle row to slant back the back-rest and doze off.
The top-of-the-line variant has folding trays behind the front seats which were useful for making sandwiches on the go and the plentiful cup holders were used for toiletries and all other knick-knacks.
