Zen AX- Easy Drive : Controls & Operations

9 combinations of the Zen -AXThe Zen-AX Easy Drive designed with Special gadgets and gears make it really easy to drive and maneuver for the disabled or handicapped. The Zen-AX Easy Drive is available in nine different combinations (As shown in the pic.left). Please contact your nearest dealer for prices or any further informations.


EXTRA FITEMENT OF CONTROLS FOR HANDICAPPED VEHICLE OWNER :
Following are the different controls provided for different types of disabilities:
1. Both legs: Hand control lever.
2. Right leg: Left accelerator pedal.
3. Right hand: Left steering grip.
4. Left hand: Right steering grip.
5. Right hand and right leg: Left accelerator pedal and Left steering grip.
6. Right hand and left leg: Left steering grip.
7. Left hand and left leg: Right steering grip.
8. Left hand and right leg: Left accelerator pedal and Right steering grip.


Hand control leverHAND CONTROL LEVER
A hand control LEVER is provided to the left side of the steering wheel so that braking and accelerating operations can be controlled by hand in case of disability of both the legs. For acceleration, pull the control lever towards yourself and for braking push the control lever in opposite direction.
The following control switches are provided on the control lever as marked on the images.

(1) Brake lock - This is a safety lock system that can be used while stopping the vehicle without switching off the engine e.g. on red lights. Push the control lever till the brake applies effectively, push the button for locking the brake, now the brakes will be applied even after releasing the control lever. For releasing the brake lock, push the control lever slightly.
(2) Turn signal - This switch is for indication of left or right turn of the vehicle. Please note that this switch is not automatic return type. You need to switch back it to neutral position.
(3) Horn - The horn sounds on pushing the switch with the thumb.
(4) Sub-accelerator lever - Sub accelerator lever is provided on the hand control lever to move the vehicle on the steep upward slope. Push the hand control lever and start operating the sub - accelerator lever to accelerate the vehicle on the slope. When the vehicle starts moving, pull the hand control lever to further accelerate the vehicle.
  CAUTION :
1. The hand control lever will not come back to its original position after pulling the control (in accelerating position). Please check the position before starting.
2. Never leave the vehicle with brake lock on in the parking, the battery will be discharged. In case of parking always use parking brake.
Steering grip

STEERING GRIP
A steering grip is provided on the Steering wheel (image shown to the left) to control the steering in case of disability of eitherhand. In case of right hand disability, the steering grip is provided on the left hand side or on the right hand side on the steering wheel in case of disability of left hand.
WARNING:
Ensure the clamping of the steering grip before driving. If there is any lackness in the grip, clamp the grip by tightening the bolt of the grip. You may loose the control on the steering if clamping is not proper.

Left acceleartor is provided for right leg disabled drivers.(image shown on the right)
WARNING:
Always put the cover on the right acceleartor pedal. This prevents the accidental operation of the right accelarator pedal.





WARNING:
This vehicle is specially designed for the handicapped driver. Normal person should not try to drive it, he may loose the control over the specially designed controls for handicap drivers and lead to accident.
